BASCO APPOINTS NEW CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTOR

David McCullar Joins the Team

MASON, OH (June 2011)Basco Shower Enclosures is pleased to announce the addition of David McCullar to the company’s customer service team. Effective immediately, McCullar will serve as the customer service director.

Based in Cincinnati,Ohio, McCullar will report to Don Gamble, Basco’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. McCullar has a strong background in customer service management and strategy encompassing nearly 20 years of increasing responsibility in this field.

“I am honored and thrilled to be joining Basco as they continue to lead the nation in the innovation of glass shower enclosures,” said McCullar.

With over 18 years of customer service management experience, McCullar has gained valuable knowledge and expertise in retail, publishing, manufacturing and logistics/transportation, all which will play a volatile role in his new position at Basco. Additionally, McCullar has specialized experience, with a Green Belt Certification from Divinity Partners.

“David has a proven track record in customer service management and we are eager to have him join the team,” stated Gamble. “He will truly be an asset to our customer service department by bringing knowledge and expertise to the team.”

McCullar is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University. He resides in Cincinnati with his wife, Kristen and two sons, Zachary and Jalen. McCullar enjoys spending his free time playing the trumpet and is an active member of Solid Rock Church.

BASCO PROMOTES SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

TIM SARTORI TO MANAGE LOCAL CINCINNATI DISTRIBUTORS

MASON, OH (June 2011)Basco Shower Enclosures is pleased to announce the promotion of Tim Sartori to the company’s sales team. Effective immediately, Sartori will serve as the sales account manager for Cincinnati distributors of Basco products.

Currently, Sartori handles the glass channel in Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. As the local account manager, Sartori’s new responsibilities will also include local plumbing wholesalers.

Sartori will report directly to JR Grau, Basco’s regional sales manager. Sartori previously held the position of Builder Sales Representative, selling Basco products to local builders and remodelers.

“Tim has been a key part of our success and we are thrilled to promote him to this new position,” commented Grau. “We are confident that Tim will continue to be an important asset to help our organization reach its goals.”

BASCO PROMOTES NEW SALES REPRESENTATIVE FOR BUILDERS IN GREATER CINCINNATI

JENNIFER SARTORI JOINS THE SALES TEAM

Basco Shower Enclosures is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer Sartori to the company’s expanding sales team. Effective immediately, Sartori will serve as the sales representative for builders in the Greater Cincinnati area. 

A native of Cincinnati, Sartori will report to JR Grau, Basco’s Regional Sales Manager. Sartori has been with Basco since 1989 with various roles of increasing responsibility with the sales and marketing organization.  Sartori’s new role will include service to local builder accounts, handling of bids, blueprints and representing Basco at local home building events.

BASCO Shower Enclosures Walks for Juvenile Diabetes with the Help of Miss Peabody’s Posse

For the second year in a row, Basco Shower Enclosures will participate in the Walk to Cure Diabetes for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund on Saturday, June 11th at Kings Island. A group of Basco employees, family members, and friends have come together to donate for the cure in honor of Elizabeth, also known as Miss Peabody. Elizabeth was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last year and is the daughter of two longtime Basco employees, Valerie and Adam Privett. So far, the Posse has raised over $2500 towards the JDRF to cure diabetes through donations, bake sales, cookouts, raffles and t-shirt sales.

Basco Shower Enclosures is committed to giving back and helping out their local community.  Elizabeth is one of 32 children under the age of 11 who are diagnosed everyday with Type 1 diabetes. In the United States there are over three million people suffering from the disease.  

Founded in 1970, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund’s mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.  The JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes is one of the fastest growing fundraising events in the world with over 500,000 people taking part at 200 JDRF locations. Last year, over $100 million was raised worldwide for diabetes research and research education though the JDRF program. Basco Shower Enclosures, Mason, Ohio, in conjunction with the Interior Design Continuing Education Council, announced the availability of the “Demystifying Shower Door Selection” continuing education course. The course, provided by Basco Shower Enclosures, helps designers choose the right shower enclosure product for their customer’s application. It reinforces design concepts and the benefits of shower doors; identifies common configurations and considerations for sliding and swing enclosures; provides characteristics of framed, frameless and heavy glass enclosures; and recognizes and applies steps for selecting a successful shower enclosure solution.
